If I was a little girl again...
...I would ask Father Christmas for a pair of these Baby United Mary Jane shoes. In every colour possible. How cute?! You can find these at Snuglo.

Christmas films
I love a good Christmas film. There's nothing like it to get you in the Christmas spirit. As well as making cakes yesterday, we watched the brilliant The Polar Express, a film we only discovered last Christmas but have since made up for that by watching it over and over, and the very funny Elf. Both films did their job and got us very excited for Christmas!

What we did today...
We made real fairy cakes, and pretend cakes with the play-doh. It was far too cold to be doing anything else!
p.s. I love the fact that Jamie still has (only just) little chubby wrists! I'll be sad when they've gone.

Happy weekend
Bbrrrrr. It's cold isn't it? We haven't had any snow here (yet). This weekend I'm planning on wrapping the boys up in lots of warm clothes, and staying in and playing. We might venture out for a walk if it isn't too cold. My feet always seem to be freezing so I'm on the hunt for some nice chunky socks like these from The White Company.
Have a great weekend.

Fast food
I'm a big, big fan of yummy meals that don't require much effort and time. My favourite meals to make are stews, oven baked risottos (where you don't have to constantly stir the rice), toasted sandwiches...I could go on. This Croque Monsieur bake from Nigella's website looks scrumptious. Find the recipe here.

Bob and Blossom
I was just browsing for baby things, when I came across Bob and Blossom. They have so many gorgeous things on their website. These number tshirts are perfect. Doesn't their shop in London look pretty? I'm lusting over the shelving, it would look fab in a children's bedroom filled with toys and books.

Alfie's party invitations
So I FINALLY got round to making Alfie's party invitations, and I'm so pleased with how they turned out! The colours for the party are red, baby blue and white so I'm working the decorations and invitations around this. I found this gorgeous red and white baker's twine which I thought would look pretty tied around the envelope (and hopefully make the invitations look more exciting!) Now I just need to make the decorations... :)

Lisa Stickley
Have you seen all the lovely items at Lisa Stickley London? I think I want all of it! The napkins are very pretty, and the laptop bag (second picture from top) is so much nicer than all the boring black ones that are around...
Have a great weekend!

London
So we're back from our whistle-stop visit to London, and it was......cold!! It was also exciting, busy, and full of interesting things to see and do. We didn't make it to the Marylebone High Street Christmas lighting that the lovely Lindsey at Urban Mums recommended (I was that cold I was tucked up in my hotel bed at that time with a cup of hot chocolate to warm up my hands, I'm such a wimp), but we got dressed up and went out later. I think I may treat my Mum with a trip to London for her birthday, she'll love it!

Christmas Ideas
I've been fairly organised this year, and have bought most presents or have found the presents I want to buy, but I'm always on the look-out for Christmas ideas. At the moment I'm looking for ways to display christmas cards, and ideas for advent calendars.
p.s. I would love a stocking like this!

Pretty rings
Aren't these rings pretty? The bottom one is my favourite. Me and my husband went shopping together for my engagement ring, and I knew as soon as I saw my ring that it was the one. No doubts, no second thoughts, I saw it and that was that. The first three rings are designed by Solange Azagury Partridge, and the bottom one by Pippa Small.

Wrapping paper
Me and my Mum always have a colour 'theme' for our Christmas wrapping paper, (I hope this is normal!) and this year I'm going with white and gold like the lovely ones here from The White Company. For the tags I'll be using white and manilla luggage tags.
I couldn't resist the floral wrapping papers either - yes, they aren't traditional Christmas colours or theme but I think they would look absolutely beautiful with some black grosgrain ribbon underneath the Christmas tree. Find them here from Caroline Gardner.

Hudson Hotel NYC
This is where we stayed on our honeymoon, 5 years ago. It was one of those magical places that looked exactly as it did in the brochures. It was in such a great location for exploring New York too (although I feel we didn't even scratch the surface whilst we were there, so I want to go back and see some more!) I have so many brilliant memories of our time there.

Daisy Lowe
Here is the beautiful Daisy Lowe (who I have a bit of a girl crush on) modeling her mother Pearl Lowe's new collection for Peacocks. The top dress is my fave. The collection goes on sale in shops and online on November 14th, I'm betting it sells out pretty quickly!
p.s. I'm loving Daisy's dark nails, gorgeous x

Stamps + wrap
Have you seen Lollipop Designs? They design lovely cards and stationery but also items like these rubber stamp sets. I think these will make great Christmas gifts...I can see my eldest having lots of fun with these. I couldn't resist this bunny wrapping paper either. How cute?! Have a look at the website here.
