At the park

After taking Jamie to school this morning I decided it was far too nice to be indoors so me and Alfie went to the park.  This is the best park I've ever been to, it's kept so clean and there is so much for both little ones and older children to do.  The best part about today was that we had it all to ourselves!  Alfie LOVED the slide, and spent ages jumping on the wooden blocks that whistle when they're moved up and down (middle photo).  So fab :)

Pretty family tree

Aren't these sweet family trees just gorgeous?  They'd make a lovely gift for someone.  I'm thinking it would be nice as a present for a newborn baby.  From EvaJuliet.

p.s. There's still time to enter my little giveaway!  There's a very cute tote to be won :)

Grey wedding dress

I am in love with this wedding dress - the pretty pleats, the ribbon around the waist, and it's grey!  Love, love, love.

Have a great weekend!

Yay!  It's the weekend!  What have you got planned?  I'm hoping we can make it to a farmer's market on Sunday, I'm excited to see what produce they have there.  Hopefully we'll come back with some yummy things!  Have you seen these balloons from Geronimo?  They've made them cool for adults :)  Just imagine a party decorated with these.

p.s.  Keep your eye out for a post here on Sunday: it's been a year since I wrote my first post so I have a celebration surprise!

Will you be my...?

Aaw :) these are so sweet.  It's so exciting being part of a wedding and I think these cards would be such a cute way of asking someone!

Pumpkin Ravioli

Now it's turned into Autumn I've been craving warming, comforting foods.  This pumpkin ravioli looks divine.

Sussex Wedding

This couple tied the knot at an old train station in West Sussex.  What a great venue!  There are so many details making this wedding impossibly sweet: the bunting, balloons, and that beautiful dress.  See more photos and details at Ruffled.

Heart Home

Heart Home magazine recently launched and I'm hooked.  Every page is full of beautiful images of interiors, guides to what's on, it's fab.  Can't wait for the next issue!

Bridal headbands

I wore my hair loose and wavy for my wedding, as I love the natural look and didn't want to look completely different on the big day :)  I love these headbands that are pretty but not too formal; just right for adding a little glamour.  How did you wear your hair on your wedding day?  Natural?  Glamorous?  Up?

p.s. I also think the yellow coat would be perfect for jetting off on honeymoon - headband and all!

Dream list: Kitchen

Our kitchen isn't just a place for preparing food, we eat together there, talk about our day, listen to the radio whilst we eat breakfast - it's a proper family room. These items are on my 'dream list' for my ideal kitchen.  First, this rustic wooden board.

An old wire cakestand

A pretty white Aga

An enamel bread bin and metal shade (this is one of my favourite light shades I've found, I love the detail)

Gorgeous pale grey bon bon tiles

Comfy seat pads

and a cute coffee maker.  Perfect :)

Cosy toes

I'm going to have to get a pair of these oh-so-toasty looking Hush socks. I think they'd be gorgeous slipped on over a pair of leggings and a warm jumper or cardigan (I like this one, and this one!)  Perfect for a lazy day around the house...

Monday Mamas: Learning to feed

Alfie is very independent and so excited to feed himself.  I learned very quickly when Jamie was the same age that it's best to relax, let them make a mess, drop things...just not to worry and let them enjoy themselves!  That's the best way I can think of letting little ones learn and explore :)
